Top is my created poster for 'Searching' using the format from 'Dunkirk's' poster.
UNIT 14 - Colour Bands in Posters
From these thriller posters, I have found that they use a lot of blues, greys and dark shades of purple and brown. I believe this is because the purples may be symbolising some kind of damage for the characters within the film. Also, the dark shades may be used to show the undoubtedly dark aspects of some of the characters in the film, hence the lack of lighter shaded as the 'good' characters in the films are less frequent.
